Hi, I’m Ema Grant.

Licensed Professional Counselor

I specialize in addressing men’s mental health, adjustment to life changes, as well as grief and loss.

My clients typically are looking for therapy because life is not going the way it's supposed to. While they are often used to managing their responsibilities and stressors well, something has happened and now everything is a mess. Sometimes it's at work - performance or motivation is lacking. Sometimes it's at home - conflict and tension in their relationships. Often there is a voice in their head that's tearing them down all the time and they are simply not okay.

Having an educated and supportive professional in your corner gives you a space to feel heard and understood, plus get feedback and new skills to start moving forward with your life. We will start with building skills to cope with stressors, and in time begin to address the trauma underneath the immediate concerns.

Starting therapy is hard and sometimes scary. It isn't easy to give ourselves the care we need. But, maybe it's time to set down the bricks of the past and build a more fulfilling life and future. I hope to be a partner with my clients as they develop skills to become fearlessly authentic, resilient, and hopeful.

My Approach

People typically seek therapy because their emotions or actions are negatively impacting their ability to go to work, take care of basic needs, or harming relationships.

We often start with discussing stressors in daily life and building skills to address these. Along the way we will begin to unpack the underlying traumas or dysfunctional patterns and develop the resiliency to overcome them.

Give me a call or email me and let's set up a free consultation. I'd be honored to meet you and walk with you as you set down the bricks of your past and build a better life for yourself and your loved ones.

Safe Space

Choosing to meet with a therapist and share your heartbreak and trauma is a bold, brave, deeply personal thing to do. My desire is to create an environment where you are heard, understood, respected, and cared for, while also directed and guided in growth and healing.

Your Space

While I do maintain a focus on our agreed-upon goals for therapy, each session is also your time to use for what you need to discuss or process. Sessions are about 50 minutes and are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly depending on need.
